Hands down..... THE BEST BEST BALL PURCHASE I HAVE EVER MADE! A plastic spare ball. I never really knew how important it was until I missed about five seven pins in a row. ( im left handed.) Now I pick spares that are on the left side of the lane up with ease. For the longest time I had considered that I should be able to pick up any pins I leave with the same ball I throw my strikes with...... and let me tell you... THAT IS NOT THE CASE! There is a huge difference in throwing a plastic ball across the lanes compared to a reactive one. So now I bid adeau to those pesky sevens! You will haunt me no more!!!!!!:D

sorry for my little tangeant..... had to get that off my chest.;)

I will second that. there is a REASON that PROS use the plastic for spares... it takes the guessing work all out of it.
In league I can tell others get frustrated when I have a sinlge pin and my plastic ball is in the chair farthest away as I walk over to get the ball.
Of course after I make the spare its all high 5's and good spare etc.
Then my own teamates are chopping spares or simply not even close because they try to "kill the revs" on their high performance ball for a single pin spare.
Well to me I will grab the plastic every single time. Hell I even polish the thing with extender polish just to make sure it doesnt hook on me. Plus it makes its all perty too....

EXACLY!!!!!!!!!! I have (like most) spent a small fortune on bowling balls over the years but the $20 I spent on a used WHITE DOT 3 years ago has been worth it's weight in GOLD!!!!!!!!! One guy on my team IS VERY GOOD at taking revs off his ball and he hits spares with the best of them but he has to change something and my little pea brain functions BEST when I dont' have to think about much!!!!!!!! ;)

I wonder if the folks at hammer have the bwc and vibes priced so close for that reason?:D Nah, probably just manufacturing costs of the bwc. But still a spare ball is one of the most valuable investments I've made.

Well, Seeing as I got my first spareball before my Mid performance reactive, I have always had it. Im still not amazing at it, but I definitely pick up more 10 pins than my friends that dont have one. =) I'd say my best was the Cell Pearl because at my house that I have league at, they are either carrydown with dry heads, or just plain dry, or something I need length on. I have bowled my first 600 sanctioned with this ball, and have bowled 570+ since i got it. (average 175)

Bowling wise it had to be my Total NV. Had 3 300's with it, averaged 224 for a season with it, has about 200 games on it and rolls like it was brand new, the best ball I have ever bought and that has lasted this long and always been my favorite.
