Am I correct, if you take a ball down to 180 abralon then step it up that takes the oil out, or do you need to still put it through a revivor and heat the oil out.

I will take the ball to 180 or 360, run it through the revivor then bring the ball back to the surface I want the ball at.

Bringing the ball down to 180 or 360 you open up the pores and help the revivor extract the oil from the ball

You need to put the ball through the Revivor, Hot Water or Hook Again. Some people have had varying success with each of the methods to remove oil.

However sanding away the surface, will remove any oil that soaked into that layer of the shell. Personally I don't even own Abralon at 180 or 360, to me at that price it pretty pricey. I used Maroon/Burgandy Scotch Brite, which should cover the 360 range of Abralon. Guess I could understand using something that low if the cover was tore up. Consider abralon run around $3.50 each pad.

Will agree with Rick, sanding the ball down before the treatment clears the pores of dirty and grime. Which will allow the treatment to work better.

I've never used hook again. The rejuvenator oven is awesome. My Bite was on 1000+ if not 2000 games... Ran in through the rejuvenator a few times... brought it back to OOB, and now it's like new... (Still soaks up oil quick as Hades though.)
