It looks to me like the Wild Ride is overall a little more aggressive than the Hot Sauce, and it is meant to hook earlier. I haven't thrown or had a chance to see a Wild Ride thrown, but I've just gotten my Hot Sauce this week and its an animal, does a great job of storing up energy to make the turn and crush the rack. Hopefully someone else can shed some light on the Wild Ride for you, I can't tell a lot from the specs online so I'd rather hear from someone who has thrown it.

I have both of those. There is no comparison between those 2. The HS is a high flare , strong reving core. It handles much more oil, hooks more in oil and responds harder to friction. The cover on the Wild Ride is pretty good, but the core is also fairly mild and very low flaring. The WR is more suited to short patterns and the light side of medium oil volume.

The HS is a lower rg / high diff. (2.45 / .050)
The WR is high rg / low diff. (2.55 / .036)

Brunswick is obviously proud of the Wild Ride...

I've never seen them put out commercials for a ball like this.

From what I've seen. Great THS ball.

So can I say if I am looking for a ball for heavy oil or carrydown, HS is the way to go? if so how should I drill it? If i am not wrong both balls claim to be great for skip snap. but in heavy or carrydown conditions? ponder

I have my Hot Sauce with factory finish and #1 Standard Layout with the pin above my ring finger. I really enjoy this setup for med.- med/heavy oil. In real heavy oil it tends to be a touch too long. I have a friend with a Sauce finished rather dull that seems to cut through the heavy stuff pretty well. I think for my next ball that I will go with a sauce with the dull finish for heavy oil.

Is it just me or does Wild Ride and Hot Sauce bring images to mind that are not in any way connected with bowling

My wife has decided that Hammer should come out with a sauce themed spare ball called The Noodle. <golf pun not intended>
