Don't think any of us will ever get our hands on one. Sounds interesting though.

Hammer brand is proud to announce its title sponsorship of The National Bowling Association (TNBA). Founded in 1939, TNBA is the oldest national bowling association and its mantra of “Sportsmanship, Fellowship and Friendship” is more than 70,000 members strong today.
“The National Bowling Association treats every member as an important part of a dynamic, progressive group that is helping to achieve unity, strength and solidarity in all aspects of the sport of bowling. It’s an honor to support their regional and national events and to call ourselves a sponsor of this history-making group,” said Jeff Ussery, Hammer brand manager.
Originally founded in Detroit as The National Negro Bowling Association in response to a “Caucasians Only” clause in the constitutions of the American Bowling Congress (ABC) and the Women’s International Bowling Congress (WIBC), TNBA was instrumental in opening the doors to competitive bowling for black bowlers. Because of the overwhelming amount of Asian, Hispanic and other non-black members, the organization changed its name in 1944 to The National Bowling Association, Inc., and, in 1950, the clauses were removed from ABC and WIBC. TNBA did not cease to exist; rather, its competitive ranks continued to grow and they added members of all ages, background and skill levels.
Today, TNBA is a non-profit organization dedicated to fostering and promoting the sport of bowling through organized competition with no regard to race, creed or color. It serves as a recruiting agency and point-of-entry for all amateur bowlers and is one of the largest black founded, black operated and black directed organizations in the country. Now embarking upon its 70th year of existence and with more than 70,000 members in over 100 local chapters across the country and Bermuda, it is more successful than ever.
TNBA members have the opportunity to compete in numerous events during the year including leagues, regionals and nationals and also offer national honor awards and Hall of Fame recognition. Similar opportunities are also available on the Junior level as TNBA is a proponent of youth bowling.
Dr. Michael L. Boykins, president of TNBA and 20-year member of the organization, said the new relationship between Hammer and TNBA is a win-win for everyone.
“Bowlers come to TNBA by the nature of the challenge,” Dr. Boykins said. “TNBA offers a unique, different flavor that other bowling organizations just don’t have. Hammer is known for having our same attitude and approach to the game that encourages competition, rivalry and fun. Our new relationship is sure to be a benefit for both of us.
“This organization has faced so many obstacles in the past, it is a testimony that we hung in there for seven decades and are now the oldest bowling association in the country,” Dr. Boykins shared. “Today, TNBA is a successful operation that has conquered every hindrance it has come across.”

The local associations of the TNBA are called Senates. Most senates are based out of larger cities or metropolitan areas. All you would have to do is locate your local senate and fill out a membership card. I think the fee was $20 this year. Once you're a member you can bowl in the TNBA regional tournaments, the national tournament and any local tournaments sponsored by local senates.
Not that it should matter, but the TNBA isn't just for African Americans it's for bowlers. Last year, I traveled to the National Tournament in Reno with just one other bowler from the Boston Senate. I starting meeting bowlers during my layover in the Chicago airport and it continued all week. I met bowlers from all around the country, including Jeff Ussery and the Hicklands from Ebonite, and it was a blast! I bowled like crap but I'm looking forward to this years tournament in Florida.

I'm not exactly sure what the process is to get one. From the ballreviews thread they were launched at one of the TNBA national scratch tournaments last weekend.

anyone know if you can be a TNBA member and also a USBC member at the same time? if so, all's you'd have to do is buy a TNBA card then order the ball.

You can be a USBC and TNBA member at the same time, they're separate entities from each other...
TNBA is just another bowling organization, similar to NABI and the others.
NABI just has tournaments, TNBA looks to have a leagues, with their tournaments.

i dont think there are any videos yet. theres not info on the net as it is, the ball is pretty smooth down the lanes and clears the heads pretty good. a friend of mine is a lefty with a high rev rate and throws around 17.5 mph he has his drilled negative and the ball still hooks a ton. not quite as strong as virtual gravity or the sauce series though. the ball takes about a week to be delivered after payment is received.

Got mine drilled today with pin above middle finger and cg moved out. It works great as an in between for the sauce and hot sauce. I'm very excited to take it to a few different houses to try it out on different conditions.

The Chalk has a modified Black Widow Gas Mask Core inside. It is unique in performance with a combination of RG, Differential, and Mass Bias Properties not found elsewhere in the Hammer line. It is unique in that it features a new core and coverstock combination from Hammer that gives great backend hook and hitting power found in no other Hammer ball.
Factory Finish: 4000 Grit Abralon and Powerhouse Factory Finish Polish
Color: White Diamon/Silver
Core: Low RG, High Mass Bias Core System
RG: 16# - 2.45 / 15# - 2.44 / 14# - 2.49 / 13# - 2.53 /12# - 2.60
Differential: 16# - .049 / 15# - .045 / 14# - .057 /13# - .055 /12# - .039
Mass Bias Rating: High
Flare Potential: High
Performance: Great Length with a Powerful and Sharp Backend Movement
Best Lane Condition: Medium to Heavy Oil Lane Conditions
The mass bias rating on this ball is 0.018 which gives the Chalk an amazing amount movement on the back end of any Hammer Product. Combine this with the new coverstock and it becomes a very forgiving skid/flip ball because of the 0.018 mass bias .
The Ball cost is $150.00.
