Hi all

I have had my Psycho for around 3 months now and have had it drilled up normal grip.

I had tried polished, sanded and everywhere in between but it just would not carry well for me. The pin was also drilled just under the ring finger with the cg kept in the centre of the grip. Like this

..o - pin

I got so annoyed at its carry I basically didnt use it. I believed the ball was starting to lose its power way too soon and overhooking.

I gave this ball up to my driller and told him to try something new and both decided to give the Sarge Easter grip a try.

Got it drilled up tonight to use for league. I now have it drilled pin above the fingers, it would be sitting dead centre of the fingers if it had the fingers in the same position lol. The CG has been kicked out 45' to the right. Now its like this.

Well after being a bit cautious the first couple of throws I got used to it and ive never been so accurate! And it carried and carried well! It was getting down the lane much better and I only had to make smaller adjustments and I kept using the Psycho all night. Normally I would have had to change to the razyr on this pattern by game two due to my rev rate. I had 24 odd strikes and a 669 set first time, with a big greek church split last frame. Should have had 690+. Only trouble was I missed a few stupid spares cause my spare ball is drilled normal finger tip and it was strange switching.

I am now in the process of changing the rest of my equipment over the next 3 weeks.

So if you struggle with too much hand like I did at times try this grip. :)

Paul, a good piece of info there and I am glad the change in your grip and layout worked out well for you. The Psycho is a great ball and I think you will come to like it . Nice bowling and keep up the great scores. Keep us posted on how this new grip is working out for you.

Thanks mate.

Yea even my little diagrams I thought were pretty cool lol.

I am getting the Cherry Vibe sarged this week and will more than likely do the No Mercy next.

I still cant believe I managed to use the same ball all night.

I did make around the 8 and 5 move to the left by the end of the night but normally I would have had to make a 16 and 10 move just to hold pocket by game three, which isnt physically possible with the ball return in the way.

So does this grip decrease your rev rate? What does it make you do that's different to before?

It does for a while, atleast until you get used to it then your rev rate should go back up. It relaxes your ring finger, is mostly used for people that have injuries in there ring finger, but also basically takes your ring finger out of the equation so doesnt allow you to lift as hard.

That's when you do what I do. Stand in front of the ball return, lol.

that works Crusher, unless you're bowling in an old center with above the lane ball returns, then it's impossible...

just stand on top of it, or stradle it and dont get hit by balls. :p
