Well I usually stand on 23-25 and throw towards 7-10 but I have started to change my line, my form, and my release and started to stand on 25 and throw towards 10-15. So I went from throwing a big hook to playing a tighter line. Now my problem is that my previous form was like a figure 8 swing so I can always hit my previous mark. Now since I play a tighter line I usually miss my mark by 2-3 boards now my balls are a bit forgiving so I get a easy spare to pick up most of the times. I know I need to work on my swing adjusting it to my new form but I want to know what are some other things I can do to change this.

If your missing 2-3 boards right when looking at 15, then look at around 18 and you will hit 15. If your missing 2-3 boards left then look at 12 and you'll hit 15, everyone has a tendency to throw the ball 1 way or another, just have to change your targetting system to fit your personal tendency's.

one thing some people forget when targeting is whether or not they are left or right eye dominant. if you're right handed and are left eye dominant you could have to adjust your target to the left as Idle stated. just something to think about.

guys, he hits his mark when he is inside, but not when playing tighter lines. I would try and keep your shoulders a bit more closed when your playing a tighter line. When you need to jump in and wheel the lane, just open them up again. If you stay more square to the foul line you wont swing it out as far right as you are.

Yes but he said hes been playing the same area for a long time, after playing the same spot for 10 years (example, dont know actual time), your muscle memory will kick in and be able to hit the mark.
You are right though, opening up your shoulders to your target is big when playing inside, and staying square when playing straight.
