Hey pains, nice cover on the 3-6-7-10. I spotted some things in your approach. It seems your third and 4th step are little studder steps and the 1st 2nd and 5th steps are the same length. I would work on the step being the same length as your others. It also appreas you are just a tad ahead of the ball at the line. Timming is off just a little. Also , in your stance, drop the right foot back so that your toes are in the middle of your left foot. Thisn will open the lane up for you and possibly get your foot work back in time. Other than that you look good.

BubbaRay, with the "stutter" steps what do you think of pain trying 4 steps and just eliminating one of those steps?
just something to try pain, don't wanna mess with your timing or anything.

He could try going to a 4 step and eliminating one step . But then he would have to start the ball on his first step and the 4 step might throw his timing off more. But I may be wrong. ome people have no problem switching from a 5 step to a 4 step and the other way around. It's up to him . I say try it and see how it feels. Good point Lonewolf.

i tried to go to 4 steps but i just can not start it on the first step. ill try and do a lil slide or really small step first and then start it out. that might help keep it in timing better.

Try making you first step smaller. the first step should be the smallest step of all of them gradually getting longer as the slide should be the longest. I really wouldnt worry about the other steps right now.
A side view of your shots would be helpfull
You could probably use an little more knee bend and forward body tilt. You are practically stiff legged at release.
You have very good balance at the foul line and more knee bend will give you more leverage on the ball.
I would recommend Mo Pinels book See it Feel It Do It as a good read for you

rick, thanks for the help, the one thing that happens when i try and get more knee bend is that i start forcing the ball on the downswing, and what do you mean by more forward tilt? thx.

I think he means leaning a little more forward with your upper body.

You want the weight of your body on the balls of your feet.
Forward tilt. Keep your knees bent. Bend at the waist slightly forward appx 15 degrees.
Your new best friend is a chineese guy named To Ne Chin This means at the start and finish you need your Toe, Knee and Chin in a straight line.
Bend at the knees so your knee is just over your toe. Bring your upper body forward until your chin is in a direct line with the knee and toe.
Remember let the ball swing your arm. You DO NOT swing the ball. The ball should be doing all the work.

I noticed the same things Bubba did.. just to add to it try to get a little more knee bend in there on the slide.
Also it looks like your follow through is a little weak. Maybe it's the camera angle or distance.
Good practice is too follow all the way through the ball like you are going to pat the top of your head.
Here is a example.. I am a little too quick on my feet here but you can get the Idea of where I am going with the follow through..
I am shooting a 3/10 split so my back swing is a little lower than normal.

Personally I would not try to change your approach. I think your body is in a good position at the foul line, you have decent balance and your timing is just a hair late (which can be a good thing).
Your hand position and release are what your should focus on. See if you can you get us some video with a closer look at your release.
