Typically I buy my stuff to play straight up 10-5 dependant on conditions. I wonder if I am fighting too much with my HSP or do I just need to continue to work on my swing changes. I wonder if a ball made for heavy oil condition's(normally what I use) is just better suited for my game.

I have noticed that working with straightening my arm really changes my ball reaction. It's getting better but I am still trying to repeat consistently(long way to go) my new arm swing and still stay behind the ball and release at the correct time.

But is the HSP really the right ball for heavy oil and a staight up 10-5 that is my normal most comfortable setup.

any suggestions?

Once you get your arm swing down where you like it and fell comfortable with it, the Hot Sauce Pearl will fit just nice into your game. if you are using on heavier oil, I don't think you will have a problem going straight up the boards with it. Then you can also play around with swinging it from inside out on med iol conditions.

Are you playing 10 at the arrows to 5 board or you like to play straight some where between the 5 and 10?

Also, adjusting the surface of the ball may help. While I really liek mine at 1000 Abralon (Dull). You may like it better at 4000 w/ Factory Finish or Extender Polish. Maybe even some of the new Valentino UFO Polish.

This should take some of the backend out of the ball and cut down on overall reaction (hook). Then again maybe 1000 w/ some sort of polish might be a good start as well... the 1000 will tone down the backend compare to OOB, but the polish will delay reaction to the fricton.

All depends on what type of reaction you are seeing and feel you need. As always feel free to ask us or consult you local proshop.

hey ten, couldn't the polish in fact increase the reaction to friction? i mean polished balls react harder at the end of the pattern because of the faster reaction to friction. couldnt polishing over 1000 make it react harder than plain 1000, but slower than 4000 polish?
