How many revs is your typical strike shot?

I've been working on my release trying to up my revs. Currently I just go around the ball and hit about 200-250 depending.

I think my short term goal is 350ish revs, but longterm.. we will see.

Curious as to what non-professional, but league bowlers, tend to bowl.

When I take hand out of it and play straighter down and in I throw around 300, when I move inside and play more of a banana ball its closer to 500.

The average league bowler usually has between 225 and 300 revs. Now I am talking an advanced league bowler and not the casual time to time bowler. But there are some that have a higher rev rate that the average rev rate.

im not sure what my rev rate, but i know for sure its upwards of around 400+ easily

My natural strike shot is right around 430, I can change for playing straighter and playing deeper.

i guess mine depends on where im playing... if im doing a normal 18 out to 7 or so, in between 350 - 375...

also if i put 400+ revs on the sauce its not getting to the pocket very well... lol

My natural strike shot is about 350-370. But that number goes up or down depending on what the lanes are giving me.

I haven't checked to see what mine is lately but I know it's a high rev rate. A couple of years ago when I bowled with idle it was up 450+

How do you figure out your rev rate. I aim for 20 and throw between 16 to 17 mph..............and BAM!! :p

I use a video camera, best to put a piece of white tape on the ball from center of grip to pap i believe, i watch the white slugs and count how many frames on a video it takes to rotate around again to the same position.

60 fps, 15 frames to rotate through once, 4 revs per sec = 240 rpm
