my thumb holes fit perfectly, they are nice and snug, yet everytime i push off and letthe ball come down, the thumb falls out, i'm thinking i should change the pitch, which way should i go? away from fingers or toward them? i've tried toward them before and it felt uncomfortable

Forward pitch will help. That is where the bottom of the hole is angled towards the fingers

I agree with Blue, you need more forward pitch than what you have now. Have a proshop check your thumb pitch and have it adjusted to where it feels better. right now, my thumb pitch is at 1/4 reverse, which is about half of what it was last summer before i changed it. feels a lot more comfortable now also.

I agree with the others. But there is also one other thing to look at. It is probabkly the pitch but I have had one instance where someone came to me as told me he kept droping the ball at the bottom of his swing. This is all after he shot 299 and multitudes of highn 700 series. I checked the pitch in his Psycho compared to the others he has and all the picthes are the same.
After taking a close look at the thumb hole, I discovered that the hole had a coned effect to it. Meaning when his Pro Shop guy used the bevel sander in the thumb hole he opened the hole up wider from 1/2 way down to the top of the hole. The bottom of the hole was narrower than the top. This prevented him from putting his thumb all the way in the thumb hole. I opened the hole from 1/2 way down to the bottom of the hole so that it is the same size from top to bottom and it corrected the droping problem he had.
