For those of you out there that have or tried both which one would you recomend? And how much different are they in your opinions. I own a original widow, no mercy , and a Toxic and was looking into either the BWP or the Sauce Pearl.

Thnks,

We need to know more about you to make this decision.

How fast do you throw?

Rev rate (low, avg, high)

Lane Conditions you want this ball for (light, medium, medium-heavy, heavy oil)

What reaction are you looking for out of it?

I have never thrown either of them, and Idle is right, we need to know more information. But I am 99% sure that the Hot Sauce is stronger than the BWP, so it all depends what ur looking for and thus Idle asking all that other information also.

Ok, to compare both the BWp and The Hot Sauce Pearl is relatively easy. let's first start with the BWP.

BWP. The BWp is a good skid/flip ball but can sometimes be squirty on the lanes depending on oil pattern and play before you get on the lanes. The BWP is designed to get through the midlane with length and have a good flip on the back end . But like I said, this ball tends to be squirty. Now most People change the coverstock from the OOB surface down to 2000 abralon. Some have tried it first at 2000 without polish and some have tried it with polish after the surface adjustment. This 2000 finish changes the whole ball. It smooths out the ball in the front and has a better movement on the backed without the Over/Under reaction as it has in the OOB surface. It is also alittle speed sensitive and condition sensitive at the OOB surface. The 2000 changes this .

The Hot Sauce Pearl. This ball is designed to have more length than the BWP and the BW Venom with the strobgest flip so far of any Hammer ball. This ball is great at OOB surface. It is predictable, consistent , more than the r two mentioned. I haven't seen or heard of many people changing the coverstock surface on this ball. It gets down the lane longer and has a more agreesive flip on the backend. Once you get used to the lanes breake point with this ball , it is devestating.

Now to suggest what ball for you to buy is harder because more information on your style/ rev rate / lane surface / and the most common oil pattern you throw on has alot to do with recommending a ball. Is the oil heavy, light, med-heavy or dry? A video of yourself will be the biggest help in suggesting what ball. Your Pro Shop Guy is better for suggestiong a ball and drill layout for you. Have him watch you for a game . Talk to him and see what he recommends.

My friend has a HSP and at box finish it just was not hooking much at all. He bowls around 19mph down 2nd, maybe at 150 rpm.

We took the surface off a little to say a 4000 abralon and it made the ball way way way more agressive to a point were he had to move inside a bit and play towars the gutter, he has never done that before!

The HSP loves surface changes as well.

Thank you for those that replied. To answer a few of your questions I would say that I am average speed and rev rate, maybe a tad bit slow. I typically throw the ball between second and third arrow so I would say that im prolly a tweener, definatly not a cranker. And the condition that I bowl on is its hard to get through the heads clean cause they dry up so fast, with some back end carry down.

The Hot Sauce is alot stronger than the BWP.

Bubba been ignoring my post.... :D My HS is at 1000 Abralon (Dull) it made the ball a whole lot more predictable, gave me a slightly larger room for error at the break point. OOB this ball is so smooth with a wicked backend.
