I just came back from getting my Black widow and having it drilled. Lanes were extremely dry but I loved the feell of it. Gonna try it out tomorrow on oily lanes and see what she can do. I will have a blast with this ball. My drill pattern is a cross between skip/flip and strong, Easiest to fix if i need to.

Awsome ball. Just make sure you have some oil on the lanes when you throw it. Congrats on your purchase :D

I took the BW out for a test drive. I have tamed it too much. When theres carry down, the ball doesnt wanna hook. my machanics suck.

Did you polish it? I put a light coat of polish on mine because I bowl on medium conditions and it works great for me.

no not polished. The pro shop driller modified the drilling so i would be able to control it. I throw the ball too slow 12 mph. I have to learn to let the ball do all the work. I had the ball in front of my chest, which led to chicken winging often. I am learning to put the ball beside me and swing it like a pendulum. I need to learn how to bowl.

yeah, but thats alot of oil. I like that challenge b/c margin for error is virtually none. you throw too far in and you will wash out - if you compensate too much you will hit brookly. I love playing that tough line. YOU GOTTA BE PERFECT!!
your speed will come and so will your mechanics, just cram a ton of knowledge in your head and watch the pros throw (pick the one that suits your style best, not the one you wanna throw like). Find a comfortable line and quit that chicken armin'!:D

My very first practice game was in another house where I bought my Black WIdow and the lanes had the good ole exxon valdez pattern. I am used to playing on medium lanes and that was a very drastic change. I had to put a LOT of spin on my ball to get it to hook right. On my medium condition though my ball is great.
