Yesterday, i was seeming to leave quite a few 10 pins for a lefty.
i left bout 5 in 3 games..
i noticed that in every of the shots i left the 10 pin, the 3 or the 6 pin (maybe even the head pin..not quite sure) wud fly across the lane from right to left
ne ideas y and how i cud change this for next time it happens?

Your need to change your entry angle, your coming into the pocket too light, make a 1 board move left with your feet and stay the same with your target. If that is too much then try half a board.

actually, if the stuff is going across the deck it looks like your going in a tad too high.

If the head pin is comming acrost from r->l then it's a bit light. Move back on the approach 1/2 shoe length to 1 shoe length. This will let the ball read the lane a little sooner and move into the pocket slightly higher.
hope this helps...

My take on a lefty leaving a 10 pin or a righty leaving a 7 pin is that then ball is hitting both the 1-2(lefty) or 1-3(righty) pins in at the exact same time. For a stike hit the ball must hit the 1 pin before hitting the 2 pin (lefty) or the 3 pin (righty) a split second. If the ball comes in a little heavy on either side , chances are you are going to leave a 6 pin ( lefty) or a 4 pin ( righty). If the ball comes in light you could leave either a 2 pin ( lefty) or a 3 pin ( righty). Try and get the ball to get a slightly higher entry angle to hit the headpin first.

i guesss nobody's gone high flush and left a 7 pin. that usually sends a pin going across the board

When this happened back in the world of urethane balls, my junior coach always gave me the advice of '7 up, 10 back'. For right handers, if you left a 10 pin, whether flat or ringing, your ball is coming in a bit late, so move back on your approach about half an inch, and keep the line and target on the lane. If you left a 7 pin, you're coming in a bit high, so move up a bit, to change the ball's entry point to the pocket.
Reverse for lefties. If you're leaving a 7 pin, move back. If leaving a 10 pin, move up.

I have a question for those in the know!
My average is around 180+, I am a stroker (Old school), Ball speed 25 to 30,
Rev 200ish, Ball drilled layout skid flip with high track, synthetic lanes with medium oil.
I used to bowl in the Uk wooden lanes ( high and dry) So I had my Zone Defense for that, which worked like a treat. Now I've relocated to Malaysia where lanes are synthetic and medium oil.
To overcome this change I bought a BW bite BPR, which is so so sweet.
But here is my question the BW bite BPR sometimes hook in a bit too early when the lanes start to dry. Would a pearl BW bite give me length or fix this problem?
Ps, My Storm El-Nino2000 is pearl, but has been drilled wrongly:( and want to replace it badly!:D

You could try polishing the BWBite to gain added length but the BWBite will read the lane earlier than other BW's. If you want added length from a BW you could buy a BW Venom with goes longer than a Bite and has a strong backend flip. Or you could get the Hot Sauce Pearl. The Hot Sauce Pearl goes loger than the Venom and a very strong flip on the backend. Or you just wait and see when the new Hammer equipment comes out for the next season and see if anything suits you.
