Okay I gotta say that I was shooting the toughest shot a lefty can throw. I have no idea but it seemed that the oil was laid down very very thick the whole way down but it seemed to taper off in the backend into the back right corner. I was throwing an outside line and my bw wouldnt budge, washout every time. If I moved and threw in between the 2 and 3 arrow I would hit brooklyn:eek: . I would move and try to hook the ball with a slower ball speed and I would washout:mad: I hate to washout, I dont mind brooklyn SOOO much. I shot something like 143, 137 and 173. It was poor but very challenging and frustrating. Went to another house the day after and did just fine, scoring over 200 on all games so I figured it was just me. Went back to the tough house the day after that and shot like crap again. So if ever you find a tough tough shot, dont kick the ball return and punch the score screen like I wanted to, just bear down and try to roll something you can work with and try to go back someday and kick that lanes ass.:D :D

I have that problem at the house I bowl in sometimes. recently its been really bad... mine is opposite tho... freshly oiled lanes are almost as dry as lanes that have been bowled on all day! sometimes you just have to have fun with it and stop caring what you score... when I do that I usually score better than when I am trying to do well.

Is that called "over/under"? Two weeks ago when I had a terrible time of it my ball was coming in too high and then I would move left (I am a righty) and come in too weak. One of my teammates said that I had "over/under" or something like that.

One of the frustrating parts of the game is when no adjustment seems to work and you know that there are only a limited number of frames to figure it out.

Again - pray for rain......

Roll axisweighted up 12 - make your spares - probably
beat everyone else on your pair and go home happy......

very good point...its easy to let the lanes control you. Remain calm and throw the best shot you can, some days it just isn't in the cards no matter what you do.....

IF ANYONE KNOWS A SITE OR CAN POST DIFFERENT OIL PATTERNS,NOT PBA,JUST DIFFERENT HOUSE PATTERNS:

I was visiting my hometown and just went out and bowled a couple of houses, I WISH I could make a diagram of this pattern cause it was funkay!! it wasnt due to righties on the lane all day soaking it up either, it was around 2pm and my dad was throwin on the right side and doing just fine, had really good controll over his ball. Me, not so much:rolleyes: :o

i had a tough shot today, last week someone came out and looked at the lane machine, changed soemthing, and this is the first day i have bowled there. oiley outside, and dry inside, when i got done i decided i wanted to see a readout, go strip and re oil a lane, get a reading, and it fits sport shot guidelines, so someone messed up somewhere, b/c its listed as our afternoon house shot.
