I do not think you would go wrong with the balls you are talking about. Make sure the drilling matches the style you are looking for. Both balls carry very well. I am not sure that you can play outside lines with NM unless you have lots of ball speed or lots of oil. Right now at my bowling house there are a lot of people getting the BW. I think it is a very versatile ball.

BW Pearlized is supposed to come out in the next couple of months according to the posts here at this site.

Enjoy. Perhaps you can change your name soon to onehammerinbag.

The best thing would be to have your proshop guy watch you throw your ball a few times and he will be able to help you with the drilling decision.

Go to the recommended drilling pattern section on the Hammer Bowling website. It will give the different ways of getting the various balls drilled.

My BW is the all purpose #2 drilling. I find that to be a great drilling for me. I predominantly like to aim between 10 and 15 board and move however far left with feet to give me that area. When I go inside of 15 I do not believe my all purpose drilling works for me. I can get the ball back to the pocket but I seem to leave too many 10 pins and some light hit stuff on the left side.

I have the NM with the #1 recommended drilling for max hook I believe. In heavy oil I can do some stuff around the 8-10 board but ball is pretty strong to play over there for me. I play the NM betwen 15 and 20 boards when 10-15 not working with BW.

I would be interested in seeing how the #1 drilling skid/flip would do for me with the BW. That might be where I go with one of my next balls.

Again. . . . enjoy! Share what you choose once you do your research.
