Stacked is when you stack the pin and cg, meaning they are straight up and down in a straight line in relation to each other. This will give the bowlers the longest/strongest reaction for that particular ball.

Strange I was going to ask this same question, I really want to learn what different setups do so I can see what my arsenal needs I really don't think I need anything at this point but would like to know for sure.

Have fun with this one. Want to get confusd in a hurry?? Start reading a drill instruction sheet from each major vendor. Storm introduces you to the pin buffer concept. Columbia measures pin to grip mid line distance. Mo has his dual angle. Besides the fact that there are a miriad of combinations for incrmental differences in angles and measurements.

hahah, yeah VMS is right, although from what I've seen, dual angle is very nice. My driller switched over to it after doing pin buffer and all that for a while.

This subject ties in nicely with the thread that asked about why we own two of the same balls. Same ball, different drill, totally different ball reaction.
Like Top Gun said, you can drive yourself crazy with this one. I'd find one style of drill you like and stick with it,just tweak it for ball reaction. Me,I go with the dual angle stuff from Mo.

Did anyone notice that he measure the angle on the 35* drill incorrect? When did we stop measuring this from the Pin to PAP and Pin to CG/MB for the angle?
Here is some light reading...

Like VMS said each manufacture does it different, so it might be good to read their ways of accomplishing the samething. In the end it gets down to where everything is in reference to your PAP, so you can use distance, angles, buffers, etc...

thanx for all the help which leaves me more confused but as some of you said it is to be expected. so bigger question then how would i know that a diff drilll than what i have now on my balls, and yes i will take pics and show you, would be good to have on standard house shot over wood versus synthetic before and after the oil has moved??? or is all this mute and just ask my driller?
