Since I'm a Hammerhead, I don't know anything about Brunswick balls, but here's the Hammer Website that you can find all of their balls on and compare.

Currently, the Black Widow is the biggest selling ball in all of bowling from what I've heard and the No Mercy is their latest release.
They also have the RAW line which are excellent balls at a great price, in fact, Hammers are all reasonably priced.
And don't forget, "nothing hits like a Hammer".

Probably the Raw Hammer Toxic or Pain... If I remember correct Power Groove is low end Brunswick. 100-140 buck range drilled from a local Proshop.

well his shot is with 2 fingers....i bet he has quite a bit of hook already with the power groove just due to the fact that with 2 fingers its all heavy lift on the ball and usually brings a lot of revs with it....i bowled this way for a bit a while back :p

I agree with the blue vibe. If you ever want to start using your thumb, then I would go with the BW or NM.

I haven't figured out why anyone would throw without their' thumb in the ball....Everyone I've observed doing it averages well under 150, miss huge numbers of spares, and are wild on their' 1st shot.

I can do it either way. In the past I have been able to hold a 190 average without my thumb but I always used my thumb for spares. I have since learned to use my thumb but I remember what it was like to bowl without it.
If you know how to do it then it can be a pretty powerful shot. Oh well, to each his own.

This guy lives near me, he uses 2 fingers and does pretty good.

Jim, not to bad at all. Did not know he used two fingers, no thumb. You can be its rare to be sucessful with two fingers. Its possible though. Jim was one of six pro's, I bowled with in a Pro-Am.

well sometimes it is used for those learning to throw a hook ball...i bowled that way a while back avg. a 188, but very inconsistent with the games...

I have yet to meet a person who doesn't use the thumbhole who is very good at bowling. I think most of the "no thumb" bowlers do it because it's the only way they can throw a big nasty hook. The problem is most of them use lighter plastic balls and don't average more than 160's or so.
Most of those guys are very inconsistent and especially struggle with spares.
I'm not saying you can't be a good bowler with that style, but I've never seen one and I think it's a lot harder and just doesn't make any sense to me.
I'd rather throw 200 games with a lesser hook than make my ball move all over the place.
