Did you all notice he is bowling for Ebonite now.

Didnt notice it at all. I think we need to see some of the top bowlers with Hammer. Its only like 1 or 2 of the top guys, and even then their not the top bowlers out there. Norm Duke and Walter Ray Williams Jr are my two favorite bowlers of all time, I wish they would switch to Hammer.

I don't know if Hammer is ever going to be able to compete with the endorsement deals of the larger companies. It's going to take a renegade type of pro to resist all of the money that the big boys will offer to use their equipment. Hence you will probably not see many of the big name guys use Hammer.

I think Doug Kent is on Hammer? He's fun to watch. I wish they would pick up that Rash kid - I dont really like his cocky attitude but damn is he fun to watch! Tommy Jones would be a nice welcome and Tony Reyes rolled a 300 on t.v for hammer not so long ago. Maybe we should all chip in 10 bucks and try to get these guys signed. How can they resist!? It's Hammer!;) :D :p

But Walter Ray, Norm and Parker Bohn would be a dream.

I think Norm Duke bowled with Hammer in the 90s. I am with zombie when it comes to Rash or Jones. I would really like to see Wes Malott go with Hammer too, I like to watch him bowl.

Yeah Malott is awesome; he's this huge dude and throws a nice shot with tons of power. When he is "on" its pretty much over, those pins just explode when the ball hits.

Did anybody watch the 300 marathon over Christmas? Those guys in the 70's were posting some sick scores and some really really great fasion ;) :D . I think the main players could stand up to these new guys.

Yes, I watched the 300 marathon. They were some good bowlers. I did like the fashion. My dad was a very good bowler in his time and in the late 70s he had some pink cords he always used to wear and they were awesome.:D

I like Malott because he reminds me of myself in some ways. He is a big guy with a hard throw and a hard hit. Most people on my league are small guys and I kind of stand out of the crowd:rolleyes:

Jason Jenkins once filled me in about this. PA is just using Ebonite balls because he wants to. He may or may not be getting some thing for sporting the shirt as well but he hasn't signed with Ebonite (or at least it's not announced on the ebonite website). He is just choosing to use Ebonite as a free agent.

Too bad he doesn't choose to throw some hammers as a free agent, I know he's used to getting paid to throw them, but he also got paid better (as in more T.V. appearances) when he did throw them...

I saw the tournament today (yesterdays) and it was nice to see him beat Walter Ray. I have never seen WRJ look so upset. I wonder if it had anything to do with that fan stopping him twice from bowling. He hit the pocket but left the 10 (or was it the 7? cant remember). During their game one of the announcers said he (PA) "switched balls at the commercial break back to his OLD ball company"; they didnt say the name but it sure wasnt an Ebonite.

I'd like to see WRW Jr. AND PDW throwing Hammers.......THAT would be an endorsement!

got paid better? hardly. last several years he used ebonite, including the year he was named player of the year. went with a different company at the start of the current season and didn't make a t.v. appearance the entire first half of the season. went back to ebonite during the holiday break and what do you know, first tournament after the break he wins - using ebonite.

wrong. what the announcers said was that he switched balls back to his old company (ebonite) during the holiday break in the tournament season. and yes the ball he used sunday was indeed an ebonite - the angular one, to be specific.

judging from the way the current season has gone, if they started throwing hammers you wouldn't be seeing much of them on t.v. at all.

Really?????? BOTH WRW Jr. and PDW have made 3 Championship rounds (2nd to only Wes Malott) THIS SEASON.
Both have also won events this year,,,,so far this season Norm Duke is the ONLY multiple winner

Actually PA won the 2004-05 PBA Player of the Year. He bowled on the hammer staff until May of 2005 which was pretty much the whole season. His next season wasn't as good (although two titles ain't bad!) and this season was worse until he at least started using ebonite again.

PA is a great match up for hammer balls (and ebonite). Look at Doug Kent, second year on staff and he's the top money earner half way through the year.

Tony Reyes is a hammer guy...and though he's not huge on the tour yet...Tony Reyes is well respected throughout the sport for his knowledge of equipment and conditions...Reyes is considered one of the top coaches in the game right now...and Hammer has him!!!

sorry, I was a bit confused b/c he was wearing an ebonite shirt? and when they came back out of commercial thats when the announcer said he switched back to his old ball company. so who WAS he rolling for and can he just ditch that company mid-tournament like that and go right back into ebonite? wouldn't that be a breach of contract of sorts?
