Keep your hand behind the ball, and visualize your thumb being out of the ball as it passes your ankle, the last motion should just be lift and follow through. A good way to remember to follow through with lift is follow through your armswing far enough to touch your two middle fingers to the middle of your back. You'll get used to a smooth, full follow through, and that should help you to not "drop" the ball at the foul line, rather "deliver" the ball. Hope this helps.

Are you dropping the ball at the foul line or are you laying the ball at the foul line.

if the problem is droping the bal right at the line I would suggest having your pitch in the thumb checked. You might have too much reversew pitch in the thum. All that it takes to coeerect this would be a little forward pitch. Have your pro shop check it.

The other reason could be your timing is off. Try to release the ball over the foul line, but at a point only three or four inches beyond the line.

Throwing the ball into the approach can be mistaken for dropping the ball also. This can usually be solved by placing a towel on the lane over the foul line and forcing yourself to get the ball over the towel. Just make sure you are not confusing dropping the ball with throwing the ball into the lane.

Or you could concentrate on keeping the wrist cupped alittle and making sure you feel your fingers come out of their holes after the thumb is out.

Are you looking down at the foul line at release? The Big Nasty is one of the few I know of who can get away with that and not plow the ball into the foul line.

Another cause is decelerating the shot right at release. Try looking out about four feet on the lane and tell yourself to throw the ball out that far.

I put tape in every ball, I like the feel of it.

As for the OP, try tape...check your thumb hole pitch......stay behind the ball..... and most of all dont think about it
