The last past week I am using the 14 pound Burn.
I am leaving a lot of corner pins (pocket is 1-2). +- 15 mph.
Most of the time they are pin 7, if I make an adjustment , left and back, I leave pin 9 or 10.
I can not figure it out yet, is the ball driving through to hard ? doesn't it has enough spin or what's happening.

I made twice what I considered a bad throw (bit left to my target and slower, awkward throw. and guess what. the ball rolled and rolled and got the pocket and all 10 went down
the throw was +_ 14 mph

Leaving corner pins come from an incorrect entry angle into the pocket.

Saying you hit the pocket is fine, but where did the ball go after that??? The ideal,"Ten In The Pit",strike for a righthander will have the ball hit the 1-2 pocket, deflect to the right half of the 5 pin and exit the pindeck after taking out the 9 pin.

Go to www.bowl.com (http://www.bowl.com) and check out the Super-Duper Slo-Mo on Light Strikes. Then adjust your shot accordingly.

Try moving 2 boards to your left on the approach and roll your ball at your normal mark. That will change your entry point, and should help with your 7 pin issues.

Also, watch what your ball does after it hits the pocket, does it drive through it or gets deflected left or right instead?

flat 10, flat 7.......

My normal move for a 10 pin is to move up on the approch about 1" keeping the same marks.... but that is for a flat 10 and some wraps... the wrapped 10 where i seems the 6 goes ove the 10 i give the ball more of the lane and thow it farther out say about 2 boards.

Its all and experiment everyone is a little different and carring the corners. Find what works for you..

seems like you did .. the 14mph speed.....

This is exactly as I was taught in Juniors and Collegiates, but the complete opposite.

10 pin? move back 1/2" to 1" on the approach, same mark on the lane. 7 pin? move up 1/2" to 1", same mark. Reminder for us was the soda. "7 Up, 10 Back."

I was told the same but it didn't work for me but the opposite did.. go figure.

Thats why it is an experiment, not every move works the same..

My brothers move right to get the corners (not forward or back) and they are right handed and mostly play the twig.

whenever I leave a seven it's usually too light of a hit and I move 2 boards right and usually end up flush... usually don't leave too many flat tens so I never adjust for it, it's usually a bad throw.

I know I quote Earl Anthony a lot but his OLD OLD book helped me a LOT !!! It was his opinion that 10 pins are to much speed ! It worked fo me .
