Hey tomorrow I got league which for some reason has had sooooo much oil and heavy volume... I am also bowling king of the hill after league and the pattern is Dead Mans Curve. I remember playing this pattern last year and it reminds me of the Shark. My pro shop has got some kind of Hammer ball demo challenge thing. They offer the Black Widow Sting to try out for free for a day. I was thinking about trying it out just to see if it would help me get out of my slump. Do you think the ball would work good on a 43ft heavy THS and the Dead Man's Curve?

Crusher, I feel the Sting would be ok on a 43ft THS if you play the oil line to the pocket. Try not to go around the oil and it might look like and over under reaction. keep the ball at OOB and ball speed a tad slower.

Thanks Bubba. I'm gonna bring my Venom cause once the lanes break down a little my Venom will be perfect.

I actually threw the sting on the dead mans curve pattern. I really liked the ball on it. I was standing around 22 lookig about 19 out to around 15-14 and the ball was money. Then once they broke down I moved a little outside with my jigsaw and it worked great. The key to this pattern is play a straight or tight line mostly inside outside is rather out of bounds for most.

Yeah anything outside of five is gone and outside of ten is iffy. Good luck with it and remember to hit spares that's a big difference between those who can grind it out on a sport shot and those who can't. Be sure to let us know how you do.

The outside is deffinetly playable on that pattern. The issue is the pattern is VERY FLAT there. You must be able to and comfortable with playing very straight in the front of the lane. Use a strong ball that does not change direction very fast and use some surface, around 500-1000. If you can do that, you will have the outside part of the lane all to yourself.
