Oh and in another thread somewhere I was asked about the percentage won. I asked them last week and they said the computer program they use puts them in order like that but they do not go by that for palcemet in the end it goes by points. Since a team can start half way through and be ahead on there %.

Hope he does well Thursday.....

PinSlayer, tell your son I said congrats on his bowling achievments. I am sure he will do just fine next week. he has up untill now so I do not see any reason he shouldn't. Seems like you have a fine young man there and will go far in this game.

Besides, anyone with the names James is a good person.

Thanks Bubba I'll tell him Thursday when I pick him up.. Or should I say James? Is that your real name?????

He had a bad first game last thurs but came back with a 180 and 148 to save a 441 series. He said about the 9th frame he was hot and burning up.. I told him to bowl then go straight to the chair under the fan and sit there till it was his turn to bowl again.. He did and came back.. I have to agree it was HOT in there Wednesday night when I was there. Thursday was not bad for me becuase they turned the air down. But it was still warm in there when he was bowling...

I have to say I am very impressed with his bowling. He has come a LONG way in less than a year. He only started bowling in December last year and has a 146 avg....

I see in him what I could have been. He listens to everything I say. It may take him a couple 3 tries to get it down but he has never said I CAN'T do it..
If he ever told me that I think I would just tell him to put his stuff up and tell him he is not bowling anymore.. (at least for a couple of weeks)

My parents wanted to get me a coach when I was bout 14 because I was way above avg for my age. Well I said NO.. I did not want them to spend the money. Hind sight being 20/20 I would have done it and may have been on the PBA Tour..

Ya know I bought him a new ball (storm) a few weeks ago.. I got him the 13 pound. Well we took Angies 14 pound and Herman put a slug in it and drilled it to fit him. He has been rolling it the last month and been shooting pretty darn good.. he went up another 14 pins in a month just from the stronger/heavier ball...

I am now kicking myself in the butt for buying the 13 pound when he rolls that 14 just fine.. Next year he will be rolling a 15 pound. (at 13 years old)

When he goes to a 15 he gets a Hammer. I wanted to get one this go around but I felt what he would have been best would cost me $170 in the hammer line. So we went with a $125 storm....

And there is nothing wrong with what you did in ball weiht for him. It's is better to see him throw something that he could control thanbe sorry. The increase in weight sould have gien him more control than the 13. My nephew always threw a 12lb . ball. Well I got him a Burn in 14 lbs and he is much more consistant and has better accuracy with the 14 lb. And to boot he went from full finger grip to a finger tip and it is amazing he has nop problem switching.

You keep coaching your son as because one gratifying thing is you taught him and he looks to you for advice.

BTW, yes to your question on my name. It's James / Jim

He was rolling a 12 pound. I wanted to go 14 but was worried about it being too heavy so I bought him a 13 pound just like the ball my wife had. Well after seeing him roll the 13 I knew right then I should have got him a 14. We gave him the wifes ball since she has yet to learn to bowl with it.
