I'm stumped... My pro guy is stumped... And I don't know what to do...

When I first got my jigsaw I loved it... Reacted perfect and never had a problem with it... Always did a quick clean after each night of league play or open bowl...

Well we did a real good cleaning every 30 games... Didn't modify the surface or nothing... Now the ball is completely dead after 100+ games... It will not react...

Does the jigsaw have a life expectency here? XXX amount of games? I've done everything I can think of and it's still the same... It's driving me nuts...

I'm just about to go buy a new one and call it a day...

How did he do a good clean on the ball? Did he take the surface down to 500 to open the pores up to get the oil out of the inside? If not I suggest to take the surface down to 500 and then either give the ball a real good hot water bath or use the Power House Hook agin treament chamber or Rejuvinator . Then bring the surface back to Facotry OOB 500/4000

What do you mean by not reacting and what have you tried?

My take it the ball was generally used inside in the oil or on heavier conditions. Which means the ball was probably soaking in the oil. So the quick clean was not cutting it.

Here is something that I've done, heard and seen others do. It seems to work pretty well. Take your cleaner spray the ball let it soak into the ball for 15-30 seconds, will liquid cleaner's I've sprayed a couple more squirt's while I was waiting. (Watching my watch) Wipe the ball with a microfiber towel, they're really cheap at Target or Wal-Mart.

Now for the Hot Water Bath, I suggest going to down to 320 or 360 grit to get dirt off the cover, to so you can get out the deep dirt and oil. Surface the ball up from there.

you should specify by what your driller did.

Typically I would take the ball to 500 and bring it back up to 4000 pad by pad. If I think it really needs it, I'll start off at 360.

The Jigsaw is a little weird cause it comes OOB @ 500/4000

IMO the higher performance stuff that soaks up the oil well, hit it with 360 and hot water bath it, then 500/4000 it and see what happens. The ball isn't dead, but the "quick clean" after league isn't going to unclog the pores. I use a lot of "clean n dull" on the duller equipment I use. Always takes the sheen off and leaves a nice tacky surface.

The deep clean should be more than just hitting it with a 4000 pad and calling it a day though.
