If a person bowls on the wrong lane by accident what is done ? Do you re bowl on the proper lane ? OR does the bowler except his score and move it under his or her name and moves on ? Thanks in advance.

Rebowl on the appropriate lane. The score does not count on the wrong lane. However, if a whole team bowls on the wrong lane, it does count for score. (This may only be in tournament format and someone will have to clarify but that's happened to me in the past.)

Pipes, here is the USBC Rule concerning bowling on the wrong lane.

Rule 9 - Bowling on Wrong Lane
In league or tournament play, a dead ball shall be called and the player or players required to rebowl on the
correct lane when:
a. One player bowls on the wrong lane.
b. One player from each team on the pair of lanes bowls on the wrong lane.
If more than one player on the same team bowls on the wrong lane in turn, all deliveries stand as bowled.
Upon discovery, bowlers shall complete subsequent frames on the correct lanes.
In singles match play competition, where a player normally bowls two frames each time it is the player’s turn
to bowl, and the player bowls on the wrong lanes, a dead ball shall be called and the player required to rebowl
on the correct lanes, providing the error was discovered before the opposing player has made a delivery.
Otherwise, the score stands as bowled, with all subsequent frames in the game bowled on the correct lanes.

"Whatever" is that if you had a Rulebook you would be able to take care of things as they arise. I always make sure I supply one Rulebook per team. If a problem should arise and you can't quote me chapter and verse right then and there about a Rule that's been broken, and show me the Rule in the Book, you have no leg to stand on later. My policy has always been to fix a small problem now, before it blows up into something a lot bigger later.

I agree, a rulebook is needed in every bowlers bag. That way if something happens in league and you want to know what to do about the situation or feel that something wrong was done but arent sure, you look it up in the book immediately and get the situation taken care of. Because if you have to wait a week to get the rule for that situation, and you go back and say that game should be forfeited because you broke this rule, I guarantee the person will say "No I didn't" and his teammates will swear to it. After its said and done, theres nothing you can do.

I don't know how many times I wanted to bang my head on the ball return when someone would come up and says,"This happened last week and we want it taken care of now." I'd ask why on earth I was just now hearing about it. "Oh well,we didn't know it was against the Rules then." WTF??? You take part in a sport and don't even know the rules??? Hello??? Am I missing something here???

The truly sad part about all this is that 99% of the time what happened was indeed legal. They just "think it should be" illegal. Take unopposed prebowling. You try to explain just what you're letting these overaged children vote on and they still never get it. Never fails, someone puts up a high series and out comes the lynch mob. Then I have to very carefully explain to these rocket scientist's using very small words how I explained in the organizational meeting just what the term,"Unopposed" means when it comes to prebowling. And then they still don't get it.
