I put my hawgzilla over the third arrow from the right and have to really get it out there with speed for it to come back into the pocket. Sort of new to the numbering of boards. Can someone explain this to me?

Maybe your using it where there is not enough oil to get it started!

There are way more qualified people he than my self but here's a shot explaining it.

The boards are numbered 1 through 40 from right to left. Usually the arrows are on 5, 10, 15, 20 (center), 25, 30, 35.

Not sure if you have a question here but the hawgzilla is an aggressive ball so depending on your swing, speed, revs and lane conditions the ball will play differently.

On my league shot it's heavy oil to 42feet (and gets a lot of carry down as well). I shot fairly high revs with good speed (around 17mph). With this set up I like to stand on 20 and aim at 10, the ball will usually role out to 5 before heading to the pocket.

In your case if you need to speed up while throwing through the third arrow you can try some adjustments like moving your target right and/or your feet left (if your a righty).

Best of luck!

The lanes is 39 boards wide.
Right Handers: count boards from right to left 1-39
Left Handers: count boards from left to right 1-39

Lane width is 41 1/2 to 42 inches wide. The arrows start at 15' to 17'.
This is per my USBC Coaching Level 1 manual.

Let me know if you have anymore questions.
