maybe I'm dating myself again, but the weight block for the 3d offset was...awesome to say the least. It was more of roll then flip type of ball, but would drive thru almost anything you through at it. I'm not sure if some of you have even heard of this ball as Mo kept the weight block when he sold the company to ebonite, But one of my teammates pulled out his old 3d offset and throw a good set with it (749). I can only imagine what the weight block of the 3d offset would be given the cover tech today...put that block in a BW or NM, now you are talking....I wonder what Mo has is planning to do with it, I have not seen it come out in his new line of products. If Hammer monitors this site, then help us out a little bit.....anyone with 3d offset experience see the same thing
word is the next Morich ball will be the last one with the Vanguard core. Who knows what's next...

For starters, I have one of the Pink 3D Offset Axis balls with the yellow pin and lettering. It has an outline of the weight block on the ball.
I've seen the Vangard Balls that have a very unique weight block on them as well.
I've also heard someone mention Mo from MoRich in this thread.
Were all of these guys with Hammer at one point?
And who is/was Faball? The older Hammers had Faball on them, my 3D does not.

Is this how the core looks? I've had mine forever, I never knew what the core looked like.

Yeah, mine has the same 3D weight block outline, but my ball is more pinkish red and the block logo does not say High Rev as it was an earlier version of the 3D Offset.

That's funny, I never even noticed that was a picture of the core on the ball.
I uploaded a quick video of the 3d Offset I took today. For some reason the audio is a little delayed, but here is it:

It's still the best I've ever thrown. Gets through the front with a nice roll and then has a hard but very controllable drive through the pins. Just averaged 235 over 5 games with it today practicing. This ball can still hold its own against todays technology.
In short, Mo Pinel was the head designer at Faball. From my understanding he's considered a core design genius within the industry. He made cores for faball, amf and track before Morich.
The Vanguard is a core Morich used for the past last few years. It's pretty funky because it has a hole in middle. Tons is unqiue drilling options.
(Can you tell I've been reading up on Morich balls?...)

Eccentric would be the best way to describe him, from what I have heard and read. One of the earlier pioneers of the major technology/science movement we have to day in bowling.

On the lanes I bowl on, I'd say that MoRich balls are about the most popular. One ball that I've always been curious about is the Seek and Destroy. I've seen a lot of people using it, but the real reason I like it is because of the name. I love Metallica and I even try to have that song in my head when I get up on the approach.
Back to topic though, I cannot find a picture of my 3D Offset Axis ball on the internet anywhere. It doesn't show up on the discontinued ball list for Hammer even. I think the one I have might be a rare ball and I'm not getting rid of it. I use it for practice a lot.

Becuase its a "Legecy/Classic Hammer" from the Faball era. Not a Ebonite Hammer.

Go to bowlingballreviews.com, click on the discontinued balls at the bottom left, then find fallball. It will show pics of the 3D. After doing a little research on the morich site, I found three ball with a similar block as the 3D. Not sure if it's exact, but pretty close... The three balls where The Annihilation, Ravage, and the Sahara. Maybe they have more plans for these cores......

Thanks, I found it on there. The name of it there is the 3D Super Hook. Looks like I have a very rare ball.
