2 fingers no thumb, thumb no fingers, or all three?
Just wondering what the benefits are cause my first ball is being drilled today.
Thanks,

I use all three because it is an easier grip, comfortand a better grip. They can size you exact and if anything changes it is easy to change. Some people go without a thumb slug...but I would never go without finger inserts. For me...I always will use all three. Steve

Fingers always. I use the oval ones. The other side of the grips have a flat thing that helps with lift. I would advise you use that to help get your ball hooking. Thumb never. That's just the way they have always been drilled for me. I use tape in thumb hole when necessary and take it out when thumb swells. I use the white rougher tape along inside of thumb.

finger grips and a thumb insert always. Never tried no finger grips but I am going to drill my Phamon that I found without them as a test. As for the thumb insert, I have found that it give you a smooth consistent release every time. I have found over the years that the thumb holes in certain ball get tacky over time and require maintenance and with an insert it is always the same feel.
Right now 2 fingers and no thumb but that might change.
I just dropped off an old ball at the pro shop to have a thumb slug put in. I'm going to use this as a trial ball to test out slugs and different thumb pitches.

I have all 3,,,, soft ovals in the fingers and a smooth oval sleeve in the thumb.
With the different compositions of the balls this provides a consistent feel in each ball. My personal preference is to have the fingers a little snug, and the thumb 1/32 over sized to allow for tape as needed.

I use finger inserts (oval) and I also use a thumb slug. The reason I use the inserts is because it was recommended to me from the time I had my first fingertip grip ball and I'm used to it. Why change?
I started using thumb slugs for a nice smooth consistent feel and release.
