I went practicing today and the Widow would just skid down the lane, so I think a bath would do it some good. But I don't know how to give it a bath. Could someone tell me how to go about giving a BW a bath?

Bathing: Get some bath water as hot as it can go.. Then put your ball in the water and let it soak for 15 minutes, you will notice oil on the surface of the water.. Then drain the water and also wipe the ball so there is no oil residue left.. Then keep repeating the process until the water has no oil on the surface.. Try not to get to much water in the fingerholes and also Dish soap is not necessary..
(This step by step was written by BlackWidow95 and it works very well)

Sorry for the missunderstanding- it was in a message to me from him(that's why I thought he wrote it)but clearly you wrote it first-won't happen again:o

I think that maybe I should plug the thumb and finger holes so no water will get in them. What should I use to plug the holes?

Lol, Pure I picked up the knowledge from him, but you don't have to apologize for saying that I typed that to you, lol.. Anyways I cut a dish towel and plugged the holes that way, barely any water got in them!!

Notice all the oil on the surface of the water??

Yes but it was very faint. But if I looked close enough I could see quite a bit of what looked like residue and oil.

Remember this isn't going to be thick oil like motor oil. It's going to be a lot clearer and it won't be very visible on the surface of the water unless you have light shining on it. It's removes more than you think. You'll notice the life coming back to your ball when you hit the lanes. I remember the first time I did this and I couldn't believe the reaction that came back to the ball.

I'm gonna go practice with it tomorrow. I'll see how much difference than there was before the bath.

Not a problem at all.

Personally, I wait about 5 minute before I drain, wipe and repeat.

Thought my post this was a quick step by step to the process... his was more brief... that was all. As long as we all are figuring this stuff out it does not matter to me. We all have to share. Hoping to find time to write a article on ball maintence. Have read tons on the subject, trial and error and a few few bucks spent.
