What aspect are you talking about when you say over and under? Do you mean when it comes to the swing of your ball? If so, I think you're talking about pushing the ball up about 8" on your pushaway, letting the ball drop and releasing the ball bellow an imaginary 1 foot high bar. Is that what you mean?

My understanding is over/ under is where say you hit your mark on the lane and come in high and leave a split. So, you aim a little right and the ball fails to hook enough and you hit light. So, you aim a lttle left and then you get another split.
So, I understand it to mean a situation where you are just stuck. Aim left and go high, aim right and go light.

Just depends on the bowler and why the over and under happened.
Polished for drier and dull if slick... I do believe. Dont hold me to this one.

In an over/under situation I normally switch to a lower core heavier cover bowling ball. My Real Deal is great for these situations. I know its an older ball but does wonders for over/under reactions. You want something that has more of an arc reaction to it instead of a skid/flip reaction.
