ok so i just ordered the Total NV and have no idea what so ever on how to drill it. I dont know what my PAP is how do i determine that? and heres how i throw the ball i throw it at about 15-16 mph with medium revs i like to throw the ball straight at the 5 and let it come back and smack the crap out of the pocket but also i love to stand in the middle and throw it out to about the 5 and let it come back to the pocket can anyone help me? please

Here's a video that shows one way how to find your PAP.
http://www.brunsnick.com/positive_axis_point.html
But I'm guessing you don't have the tools to measure it.
You can also put a piece of tape where you think your PAP is and have someone watch you bowl from the side. If the tape is on your PAP, the tape will not be moving during the first 5-10 feet or so (after that it will change because the core will change the rotation which is what causes track flare.) You will probably have to move the tape a few times before you get it right on your PAP. Then just measure the distance it is to the right and up from your grip midline. Again you probably need the proper tools.
I suggest just going to a driller that will find it for you and actually watch you bowl.
If you don't want to bother with all of this, I would recommend the #1 layout that the Total NV drill sheet has. It will give you good length and a lot of backend.

If I was going to get Total NV I would have it drilled with pin below fingers and cg kicked out to right at 45 degrees with a weight hole on the mid-line. Basically, the number 2 drilling on the Black Widow.
I have seen this drilling on the Total NV and it looks perfect for what you described. Stand out between middle and 25 and toss out between 5 and 10 and watch the ball do some work.

dw800 thats the same way i have my toxic drilled. which layout is that for the Total NV tho? i understand it is the #2 for hammer but which one is it for Total NV and you said you saw it in action. what oil pattern was out there and was the guy throwing it about like i am. I want a really good ball this time so i dont buy another one because i think my toxic will follow this ball up great and if it doesnt then i know my Crossfire will. I am still waiting for the BWP tho because i want it bad.

Ok Hammer Heads,,,,get your darts ready to throw at me lol.....but after drilling up 4 of the total nv,,,,,,,,,I finally have found the best drill for this or any mass bias ball is the most neutral. place the pin 2 inches above the center of your bridge. Keep your CG in the center of your palm and the bias block on the right of your thumb or,,,the thumb right on top of the bias. this will give the ball alot of length, dependant on the type of revs you generate you will get a late arcing motion, or on dry lanes an angular entry to the pocket.......I guess as long as it is in the hammer-ebonite family we can talk about it here huh????

you drilled up 4 of em just to find the perfect fit!?? wow, dedication. i like the CG in the center of the palm but i would kick my MB out just a tad bit more i think.

under normal circumstancesI would agree with you on that one, but since I throw my strike ball at 21mph with about 470 revs. for me to kick the bias out to the right even 1 inch makes the ball too jumpy!!! the house that I mainly bowl in still has above ground ball returns, So anything further of inside on the right hand lanes, I may as well learn how to loft over the oncoming balls huh???

Yes it is fast, and seeing him do it on a weekly and sometimes daily basis is awesome. Mike has the game to probably go pro, just gotta wait and see.

Got mine about 2-weeks ago...it's a monster. It sounds like you throw at a similar speed (15-16mph) and use almost the same line. When you get the ball, the spec sheet gives a number of drilling options, but I went with the 'recommended' drill as spec'd by Ebonite and weighted down to a 15lb ball for more speed. On medium synthetic lanes I stand 27 over 15 out to 7 or 8 with speed and the ball goes long and just screams back into the pocket. Just remember if the lanes get too dry or the heads are dry, you'll have to switch to a ball with less hook (I use my Switch Blade). Have not bowled a seies under 625 with the ball so far....GOOD LUCK!
