I know its hard to give advice without seeing someone bowl but Im hoping for some opinions anyway on drilling my Toxic for best hook potential.

I am right handed and I currently stand to the right and have my Storm Paradigm drilled to go long and curve in late but I'm trying to develop more of a hook. I have been practicing standing to the left and trying to bring my ball across and back into the pocket but with my current layout on the Paradigm I dont get as much movement as I would like, it hooks a little late when bowling from the left

I want to get my Toxic drilled aggresively and I think Ive narrowed it down to the following two unless there is a better option. I bowl mainly on medium to heavy lanes and I throw around 15 mph with medium revs

MEDIUM RG STRONG LAYOUT
LOW RG STRONG - LAYOUT

Thanks, I appreciate the help

I don't think the Toxic is going to hook more, if any, than the Paradigm.

When you're throwing from the left, you're keeping the ball in the oil and a polished ball with your style is most likely going to skid no matter what layout you're using.

Personally I would have your pro shop dull the Paradigm down a little to create more friction causing it to hook earlier and more.

I'd say you have the right idea for layouts with the Toxic. I would lean towards stacked med rg strong layout. Remember that surface is the most important thing in determining the ball's reaction and the easiest to change. Don't be afraid to try. Most balls usually come polished because they look cool on the shelves, not because it's the best finish for you.

I have mine drilled the medium strong layout and it works great i think thats the one with the pin below the fingers and cg kicked out 45 degrees with a weight hole. if its not then thats teh way i have mine drilled and love it i stand to the right as well and throw it about 15-16 mph with medium revs and it goes long and crushes the pocket. i also can stand in the middle and throw it to the 5 board and it will still come back the 2nd and 3rd games.

thanks for the replies guys

I will probably end up standing closer to the middle and throwing between the second and third arrow on the right then the way Ive been trying which was more to the left

I like my Paradigm and I'll still use it but it tends to hook late and not much snap

For starters if you are wanting a ball that will hook late and not snap, I would recommend a black widow with the pin up and out, the mass bias on a 45 degree angle. doing something like that may just give you the reaction that you are looking for. If you are willing to be a bit more daring I recommend a no mercy with a drilling that is not on the sheet. Buy one with a 4 inch pin, and place the pin as high as you can while still keeping the cg in the center of your grip, Keep the heart symbol in your track area and that will create a huge amount of length with a even bigger back end. I hope this helps you with your ball buying decision.

I would have too agree I love my paradigm. I am going to try a No Mercy as soon as I get it but you cant beat the paardigm. I bowled so good last weekend I have 662 series I had also alot of 250's I believe I have 2-3 I also had a 268 last week, and a 247 all with my paprdigm
