Quote from Ebonite International web site:
"HOPKINSVILLE, Kent. – Ebonite International has reached agreements to continue pro staff contracts with nearly every PBA Pro Staff member for the Columbia, Track and Dyno-Thane brands, including Chris Barnes and Wes Malott, announced Bob Reid, vice president of sales and marketing. Terms of the agreements were not - and will not - be disclosed."

The rest of the article is here (...). (http://www.ebonite.com/news/news_detail.php?PRKey=269)

I wonder if any of the current Ebonite staffers Tommy and Jason as jealous of Chris's contract?

Should be hard for them to be jealous if they don't know what the terms are. I wish he would start throwing hammer though.:( He's one of my favorite bowlers.

yeah Barns is all class, he's a great representative for sport bowling. But only after he ditched that crazy US flag golf shirt.

PA and Tommy Jones are two of my favorite as well, wish PA would come back to hammer...

According to the article, the old contract had to be dissolved within 30 days. I wonder if the new contract with Ebonite Int. is for the same amount. Ebonite now has a lot of talent in their pocket. Personally, I'm just wondering when we will see a cross-breed between Hammer, Ebonite, and Columbia. The way I figure it, it will happen sooner or later.

I don't like PA's attitude. He needs to be smacked around a little before I'd want him back with hammer.:D

When I was buying my first hammer a dude from the proshop (not the main guy who I trust) was trying to tell me to buy Ebonite as Ebonite would release their new stuff first then Hammers months later when it is "old technology". This was 4 years ago, it might have been the case at the time, but from what I've seen in the last three years, hammer has been comming out with great products on par or earlier than Ebonite. The hot no Mercy core came out before the total NV.

Again one last time I really want a ball with the No mercy core and the total NV cover stock! (knock) (knock) (knock) Hammer/Ebonite are you listening?

If I win the lottery... my new ball line will be named Hamonite.... Be all the things we want to see them make. Just have to talk them into taking my money. :)

Would like to see both ways.
