Thought I would give a review of the Toxic being there are several posts with questions on the ball. First of all the ball was received with a short pin 1 and 1/4 inch pin length, which forced the ball to be drilled with the pin under the ring finger instead of above it. The ball also had 3 oz of top weight, once drilled and inserts installed ball was checked and no weight hole was needed. Threw the ball 4 or 5 times to adjust the size of the thumb slug to fit. This being the first night and the first set with the ball, I was not sure what to expect, especially with no track on the ball. The house is wooden lanes installed in late 50's with new synthethic backends (old ones were beyond repair), oil path is 43 ft, almost evenly accross the alley the outside 5 boards being almost dry. Type of oil is light with medium levelsof application, which gives you large amounts of carry down in short time and shots which need to be adjusted often. Now, to the review, got about 5-6 warm up shots, found the normal line for BW would not work, ended up moving left 4 more boards, standing on 25 with throwing the toxic out over the 12 board at the arrows, sliding out to the 5 and the ball would turn up to pocket at about 45-48 ft. Once, I figured the line out the ball rolled smoothly all night, started with 279 right out the box, solid 10 cost me, but that was the only 10 pin all night. Ended with last 9 in first game and started with the first 8 on second for 17 in row. Ended with 268 second game, but failed to notice the break point was now at about 42 ft vs the long 45-48 ft originally. Had up and down 3rd game, til I adjusted feet left one board for fresh oil, ended with 231...778 set, clean set to boot. Overall, the ball is new, its nice to shot well out the box, I see the ball as a good medium to light oil ball. Its early, but once the ball gets tracked lets see if it continues to carry the corners and has the sharp break that has helped me score. Once, I get 15-20 games on it, I'll follow up this review, but if you bowl on medium to light oil, good benchmark ball to start with, time will tell if it continues.
