and probably the only one. I want to compare/contrast the 2 balls and I would like answers from people who own the 2. After throwing the 2 roughly the same amount of games which ball has more hitting power? Hooking power? And just is performing better over-all. Is the NM more predictable? Does it hold its line longer than the BW? Any input that needs to be shared would be appreciated. I love my BW and am probably not going to get a NM (unless i find a used one for dirt cheap) but the NM really intrigues me. I want to know more:D :D :D

I have no experience throwing the No Mercy, but many in here do, so I don't need to express my feelings towards it..

The Widow hits VERY hard, doesn't leave too many corner pins..

It is very predictable and versitale..

It does good at 1000-Grit(if you like an earlier break)..

In my opinion it is in the top 5 balls that have came out(any companies)..

It is hard to really compare unless you have the two drilled the same.

I had NM drilled for max hook and it did not suit my "A" game. It hooked about 5 boards more than my Black Widow drilled #2 (all purpose). The NM was best when 10-12 board were fried and I brought my game between 15-17. In that range no comparison really. NM was the bomb. Hits harder, more hook, just kick ass.

Had NM redrilled to change pitch because my thumb looks like it has a volcano on top. Now it is #3 drilling. Now it is tamer than my BW. I think it hits harder, but, I do not like standing at center or right of center when I aim at 10-12.

BW all purpose drilling does 10-12 game for me really well. I have also bowled a couple of 250s and 260s with BW playing inside when the NM was not available because being redrilled, or since redrilled. The thing about BW and inside line for me is that when oil in center of lane is "virgin" I have to throw about 8-10 balls to develop that line.

Now I am getting Hawgzilla and I am going to try to get it drilled strong like the No Mercy was before. It is important to me to have a ball that is really strong like the No Mercy #1 drilling to go to when an inside game is needed with a ball absolutely committed to hook.

I have drilled up both balls,,,,2 black widow and 3 no mercy. Drilled a No Mercy with the pin 4 inches above the bridge, cg in the center of my grip and heart to the left and close to my track. The black widow was the same with the exception of the bias block being placed on the right. I have a higher ball speed 20+ mph and about 470 revs. I found that the no mercy has a more flippy backend reaction where the widow was more tame. both balls were thrown at the same target . For pure hitting power I say the no mercy, but for endurance over a 3 game series I have to go with the black widow. and by the way both balls were at 4000 polished. Hope this helps

Thanks, y'all. Helps a ton! I kind of figured the NM was going to hit just a tad harder but boy thats hard to believe b/c my widow just kills when it hits flush. I mean just kills. I would love to test-drive a NM, it just looks like it would be lots of fun.
