Last night I found out that my lanes are having a pba experience league starting in the next couple of months. Its going to be a 4-player 825 max average scratch league.

I have wondered how my house shot game would do in tougher conditions. Well, here we go.

Anyone else planning on playing in one of these leagues that set the lanes up with the patterns the pros play on?

Any tips for playing tougher lane conditions for the less experienced who have primarily faced house shot layouts [as I understand it: 41 feet of oil applied consistently between 8 board to 8 board]?

DW is your PBA league starting in May?? That is when mine starts!! I have never done a league with the patterns, but I have faced them before(some houses lay them down around my house)..

I think we are going to experience this together, lol.. Gotta help each other out, right??

I am right with you. Hopefully, we can have thread once this league starts dealing with how to face gorilla, barracuda, cobra or whatever other pattern.:D

Gorilla and Barracuda?? Lol, that was a joke right, lol.. Chameleon, Viper, Scorpion, Shark and Cheetah!!

I am down for a thread, as long as we are not to embarassed to post our scores, hehe..

That may be what you have to do.. If its Killing that you have to do for a PBA Experience league I say do it!! Hack someones head clear off them.. Or DROP A NO MERCY ON THEIR FACE ;) :D HAHA!!

I have house that does it every thursday. They play a video before you start bowling, where the pros say what you should throw, where and how. I havnt done it yet but my buddy threw 675 with a 178 first game. (he's a 227 ave)

I can't wait to start the PBA league. I am very curious about how well I can do.

We have a PBA Pattern league at the center I manage. Singles, 4 games, move after each game. $ 20.00 per week 9.25 Lineage $5.00 for weekly pay out, $5.75 for end of year (TOC) payout. We bowl Sunday afternoon at 2 PM and use the same shot that is used on the show. You can see averages and results here. http://www.northsidelanes.com/PBA.html

We are bowling 12 weeks. To Make the TOC you have to win a week and bowl 7 weeks, or be in the top 50% in points. Points are awarded just like the tour. Our Last week will be on the TOC pattern. The last week will be 4 games qualifying, cut to the top 8. Top 8 will bowl a round of 8 best 2 of 3. then round of 4 (One Game) and then the final match 1 game. We are averaging about 16 bowlers per week.

We have some bowlers that are averaging 225 in league but only are in the 170's in the PBA League.

Thats awesome, I'll loan my No Mercy out... you just have tyo do it here also, so I can get a PBA League.;)

Like the way they're doing the league out at Bil area.... the next season they could do a exempt field, basically top 2/3 make the field from previous season, then do wins for one season exemption. QPT round before each league. No tour trials, no commisioners exemption. Would be awesome.

In Dead Moines, Plaza Lanes is having one this summer and Air Lanes is considering it..... I'm hoping to talk my girlfriend into bowling in one with me.
