Currently I am in a Sport League that uses gold pins (heavier old PBA pins) and PBA oil patterns. I have a Sharp Blade and a Sling Blade that I believe were drilled similar to the Hammer demo day I attended. I used the Sharp Blade on PBA pattern A with success. MY Sling Blade was my spare ball. I usually throw a down and in shot between the first and second arrows with medium ball speed. I recently purchased a Power Diesel and I am open to any suggestions on how to have it drilled. I am also open to suggestions on how to further expand my ball arsenal. Any help would gladly be appreciated. Thanks! :D

Ah...I have been fairly blase` about Hammer's newest balls, but here is where they will excel. 4-ball lineup.
1. Big Blue-first out, fresh pattern.
2. Big Blue Pearl-second out, oil breakdown.
3. Pure Hammer-third out.
4. Red Pearl Urethane Hammer-Spare ball.

1. A stable layout giving good accuracy/smooth arc and an early roll is needed. Pin 4"-4.5" from PAP, with a small balance hole about 2.5" below axis point (can increase depth and width of hole later if earlier roll is needed). CG swung out to the right of label to allow for the balance hole. Surface should be polished around 800 grit. Change the surface as needed after you get some games behind the ball.

2. A stable layout giving good accuracy/smooth arc and an early roll is needed. Pin between 4.5"-5.5" from PAP, with a small balance hole about 2.25" below axis point (can increase depth and width of hole later if earlier roll is needed). CG swung out to the right of label to allow for the balance hole. Surface should be polished around 1000 grit. Change the surface as needed after you get some games behind the ball.

3. Stable and contollable are still key, but don't need as early of a roll so no blance hole. Pin between 5"-6" from PAP. CG at Label. Surface between 1000-1500 grit.

4. Lay this out right over the label to use mainly for spares and super dry lane conditions. The Red Pearl Hammer gives bowlers a ball between their spare ball and dry lane reactive ball, but for sport bowling it should be great for spares. Polish surface between 1500 and 2000.

As Always, these are just my oppinions, good luck and tell us how it goes.
