can be the result of several things...one thing is over throwing the ball...trying to throw it too hard. Second can be pulling your head up with the follow thru. That is just 2 of the many reason but seems to be two of the main ones. Can you tell us more and many we can make suggestions...if not the 2 above mentioned items are straight forward to fix...but are common issues.

If you are not pulling and are just missing your mark. I would check my eye dominance. If you are left eye dominant and are right handed you could miss your target from 2 to 5 boards left of where you are looking. On paradise bowling in the coaches corner there is an article by Susie M. . In the article she tells you how to determine which eye is dominant. :) Slosing down will help if you are wrong eye dominant. I know because it has helped me.

from my past experience I would say you are going to fast to the line with your feet causing your feet to get there first and your arm is playing catch up the whole time causing you to pull or force your arm to the release point. That would be my guess next would be a fast approach causing you to pull your head uyp causing a pulled shot. Either way you would be going to fast to the line.

so I need to slow the feet down??? Do I need to move forward or backup on the approach????? Do I need to give the ball more lift out onto the lane???

Not keeping your knee bent through your release can also cause this problem.

Early timing can cause this, too.

TIMING, that all.......Try to release the ball sooner and make sure you get your trailing leg out of the way faster so your arm can come down freely without having to go around you.
