Well, my Black Widow has been not hooking, and I've made numerous threads about it.

I've taken my ball everywhere in town asking different pros about it and I got a concurring desision by them all. They all said its shot and nothing can be done with it. I went to another pro shop today and he told me that I have NO top weight in my ball, and the way I throw top weight makes it hook, and to make matters worse the balance hole wasnt needed so I had no top weight and 1/8 ounce of side weight.

So...I took it back to the guy who drilled it and asked him about the top weight. He threw me a puzzled look and started to weight the ball again and got the same thing, but he tried to talk me into thinking it wasnt the ball's lack of top weight but my lack of ability. All the other pro shop owners have said it was the ball, and I should ask the driller about more options. Well, he got pissed off after he didnt answer my question about the top weight, and I asked it again. He grabbed my Widow and slammed it on the ground :eek:
so I'm out of a ball again

:eek: Jeez... sounds like you need a new ball driller.

You should complain to whoever owns the pro shop... and I think you can sue him for damaging your property, too.


EDIT: I would think that he would want to give you a replacement to keep you from ruining his business, also.

Time for a new proshop. That was way out of line. Word of mouth, is going to be the best thing you for him... good ol'fashion advertising!

I dont even have the ball, it was messed up in the first place so if its cracked that would blow.

The guy who did it not only OWNS the lanes but OWNS the pro shop :eek:

Most recommendations are gonna be for another BW. But the Blue Vibe, Toxic and NM are going to be good choices.

Do you think it’s possible that the other pro shops were just trying to tell you something that made them look good and the other guy look bad? If the ball was hooking before and then it stopped hooking, then maybe you should have maintained the ball better. The top weight didn’t just magically disappear. Plus the fact that there’s very little top weight doesn’t make much difference on a mass bias ball like that.

I'm you're opposite, very cool and relaxed but I would flipped some s### over in that pro shop! His behavior was uncalled for. No one want to be questioned about their work but throwing a customer's ball is over the line.

Dude before you create another topic you need to finish this story. It's unclear is he giving you a new ball? As a retailer that is the only way he can compensate for his behavior.

I fully agree. My temper seems to be more similar to that of Jman69, but even if I was even mannered and relaxed there is no call to act like an insulted child when your skills are questioned. If this had happened to me... Id probably be surrounded by four concrete walls thinking how nice it was change my balls target from pins to teeth.
Anyway though, have you been in contact with the shop owner? Will you be reimbursed willingly or do you have to involve the law in this one?

My temperament is similar to slap, very calm and diplomatic, but throw one of my Hammers (DEFINATELY NOT MY WIDOW)... They'd still be plucking tools out of is body!!! I'd be finding out WHEN he is going to replace your property (NEW Widow) and drill it correctly for free...

People like this ruin it for anybody who makes an honest mistake, chuckin a hissy fit like a spoilt brat because he f##ked up! He only did that because he's embarassed and knows he should apologise, bow and scrape to you for months.....

He's prolly gonna kick me out of his lanes for this. It was his fault cuz he didnt weigh it all the way around, and I told him to do so.

I ended up going to someone else to get a new ball. The one I got can be throw only by high rev bowlers cuz for some reason it has no top weight. He wont even reemburse me, he threw a giant fit, and best of all IN FRONT ON AN ENTIRE LEAGUE!

Maybe you need to send an email to Brian Graham. If your pro shop operator is throwing your equipment on the floor, that is bad representation for Hammer in general...

I hope this ars hole ends up compensating you for the wasted ball!

Yea, i don't understand how you can just leave your ball with him and go buy another like nothing ever happened? Who cares if hes the owner, thats criminal shit right there. Destruction of personal property. I wouldn't have left that alley till i had a new ball of MY LIKING and of equal or MORE value. or a written guarantee that he WILL be replacing my ball and re drilling PROPERLY for free. I dont understand this either. Are you even gonna try to fight to get what is rightfully yours? Also, Im fairly certain that if he did this in front of an entire league, that you could find more than a few qualified (and equally appauled) witnesses. And, if he is going to kick you out anyway... what does it matter if you go back and settle the score.

these pro shop people just really want to sell you anything to make the big sale. If I go into my pro shop I expect some honest professionalism not just some smuck trying to make sales. I feel for ya, and with the problem I have been having with my Zilla I would have picked my ball up a threw back at his ARSE :cool:

Definitely send mail to Brian Graham. If you have his email address, great; snail mail preferred, though. Hammer will NOT be pleased by this pro shop owner, his lanes, nor the way he handled your Hammer equipment, let alone not returning it to you. You mentioned that you had credible witnesses to it. At the very least, Hammer will look into it, apologize for this jerk's behaviour, and may offer you a replacement BW.

If you snail mail (which I suggest you do), cc the pro shop and the house. That way you know that they are going to be in for it from a major manufacturer, and may suggest no-one go to him for their equipment.

Seeing Hammer's parent company and who they are a part of, that would be a LOT of business this guy would lose.
