Got my NV today!!

I can't go get it drilled today, but it came via UPS!! I am extremely happy and can't wait to get it punched up so I can throw with it!! My toe is feeling much better today, also.. I should be able to test it out Sunday morning, it really is a pretty ball.. It is my only non-hammer, but it is in the same family now and I think I can do very well with it..

It is going to have less hook than my Black Widow(or at least thats what the hook rating says). I am a stroker/tweener and I think this ball could be a very good second out of my bag.. My Widow is at 1000-Grit and once that starts overreacting I may be able to switch to the NV and play basically the same line, I think..

The 1000-Grit makes the ball grab earlier, so I figure keeping the NV at Factory Finish would be a great move..

Nice man, Congrats!!! My Pro Shop has One sitting there that ive been eying for a while now, and im real close to picking it up! I want a Full detailed report after you get it drilled and throw it!!!

Black Widow is my main ball and my absolute favorite ball.. Nothing can change that, unless a ball gives me better scores, lol..

lol after all the crap i got for saying good things about the NV last month you got one thats crazy......lol i just got mine polished last night and hated it so i got it sanded to 2000 grit and threw really really good tonight with it 220, 265, 178 the 178 game was after i noticed a big freaking gash mark in my ball from the return so it is going to be repaired by the pro shop so i went to my next favorite ball the Crossfire since my toxic was too much ball didnt do so hot the last game but the NV would of been great to have to see what series i could of got with it. second game was all strikes but one had one open in the 4th. enjoy the NV i love the way i have it drilled and love it at 2000 grit. cant wait to get it back on monday

Well, the one good thing for you Black Widow is that Ebonite does officially post great scores on their website and gives crystal goblets, or something shiny, to people who bowl 800 series with the NV. Good luck.

If Ebonite or whoever is putting out better equipment buy it and use it and tell us about it.

I hope you like the NV but find it does not suit your game and you come back to Hammer.

BTW: Probably the thing that we at this forum share more than our hammer connection is our enthusiasm for bowling and becoming better.

It probably makes sense to keep an eye out for what the hottest bowlers are using and try the equipment and see how it compares with what we have been using.

I know that for me I have gone from low 190s bowler to 200-210 bowler with the Hammer balls and tons of bowling I have thrown this passed year. If I am ever going to improve to be 210+ bowler I am going to have to try new things and observe what the people who are better than me are doing.

But, it just looks like a real nice ball to try out.. It is going to hook a little less than my Widow(which may be great when the oil breaks down a little and my Widow is overreacting). It was free so, you can knock me and say whatever you want, but it is a very nice and powerful ball..

It was the only ball outside the Hammer line that I was interested in and I got it for free!! Why not give it a go??

By the way just because I am going to throw an Ebonite doesn't mean I am not a Hammerhead, c'mon guys..

If I score good with the NV I am going to tell you guys about it.. You can buy outside the Hammer line to still be a Hammerhead.. If the ball helps my game it could help anybody's game, ya know?? I know many people who are into Storm as well and they would love to get their hands on an NV..

I will post to let you guys know how it rolls and everything.. I am sure you all want to know, right?

Or how about Dougie Fresh throwing a Total NV?? NO, you don't.. Ebonite may own Hammer, but there is still a difference in the two..
