I know, it's not a Hammer but I need to change a coverstock surface.

My wife's ball is a Storm Agent. It's a pearl ball at 1500 polished right now. It's overhooking and she's pretty stubborn about playing deep. She throws about 14mph with med. to low revs.

What do you guys think I should do? Polish it up? Bring it up to 4000? I'm kind of leaning towards 4000. Any other ideas?

I think polished between 1000-2000 would be good. Another idea is to go to 2000 with dull. I did that with my Toxic. It uses up some energy early but still had some late. It tamed my ball a little bit.

BTW: I like answering posts when I do not have any expertise. Want me to tell you how I would perform an appendectomy?:D

I think you cut open the abdomen and start feeling around for a little hangy piece that seems like it shouldn't be there... I'm not certain though so I would suggest you use the "Ask an Expert" link for further information.:D

going to 4000 then polish would certaintly delay the hook. And you can use that hook delay polish to give it even more length.

I would throw it in a polisher at the lanes first. It may be all you need to do, instead of doing a resurface.

Anything duller should tame the backend reaction down.

i reckon 2000 grit and make sure u get somebody who knows what they are doing.

2000 grit because it should tame down the backend and the ball shouldnt hook that early
