So the whole fiasco with that jerk at the other lanes is water under the bridge, and I'm prolly gonna go talk to him today.
I got a new Widow and it hooks like a monster. 2 1/2 inch pin, and 1.5 ounce top weight. It arcs out and has room for an insane breakpoint shape(arcs into a snap almost too late lol)
How're your Widows in terms of specs and how you throw it?

Awesome! I'm really happy you got it worked out and now can really see what the ball does.

how i release my widow
Walk up to the Ball Return Find a ball with tuff looking pink lifters and slug, pick it up, find where i am going to stand, walk up to the dotes, put my left foot a lil bit in front of my right foot, put my fingers in my finger holes, then i put my thumb in, make sure its comfortable, look where i am aim for the ball, start walking to the foul line, after 1 step start swinging the ball, take another 2 steps then my backswing comes down while i am doing that i am taking another step, then i slide and release the ball with a modified crankers release with around 400 rpm:eek:.
Thats how i release my black widow
Thank you for reading :)

Wow! Bowling is not so different in Australia. But here in Califonia I only get between 360-380 rpm.;)

I do a very similar thing to Streetracer. I go get my Widow with the pink inserts and find my spot. Get my spot on the lane and take my four steps then release my ball with about 475-500 rpm. Send it out to the 5 board and watch it come screaming back:D :D

My widow is cool, it has white finger tips with lifts and a green thumb slug.
So on my throws I generally look the same on them all. I grab my ball, wipe it off with a microfiber towel, put my fingers in a couple times til I find a comfortable spot, then put my thumb in. Then I walk to my spot where I'm gonna stand for the shot. My push away begins with my first step, and the back swing goes back til like 3:30 or 4:00 in two steps, then on my fourth step my ball starts to come down, and the fifth step I'm at the line with the ball pushing away from my body. I'm not sure on my RPM though. I bowl in some pretty bad run down houses, today I'm bowling in a better one for state, so I'm gonna get my favorite heavier oil shot. Heavy oil=lots of strikes for me.

My old widow is my light oil. The guy who threw it picked up my new one today, thinking it was the old one. Me telling him to weigh the top weight, and that it had no top weight, HAD NO EFFECT on him, he thinks that it's side weight, even though I've made it clear enough.
I bowled today, and with my finger messed up...I bowled bad.
First House: 153, 161, 205
Second House: 225, 178, 147
Third House: 128, 149, 162
Third House was when my finger really hurt...my middle finger on bowling hand. It takes the blunt of my push through. To top it all off, my ball speed was affected my it. From 16-17ish to 12-14ish

Did he hurt the old ball? Doesnt sound like he replaced it or plans on it. Take it you have the ball?

I got the ball. The stupid guy didnt think I was talking the entire 30 minutes about top weight. So he's still completely oblivious to anything I said.

I have a huge wide span dude, I'll get a pic of my good ball and show ya'll
Hey blisters, it'd be interesting to see the 2 ball side-by-side in a piccie! See the difference in drilling...
Sound like you're havin fun with your new one!!! All the best...

lol yeah, I'm working on finding the adapter for the SD card for the computer. Once I do, I'll show ya. Biggest difference is the Mass Bias placement, along with the pin going from in between the fingers to the side of the ring finger.
