Hey guys, this question is for those of you who wear some sort of bowling glove/wrist support most of the time bowling. I never gave it much thought before, but during a new ball fitting, is it better to have a ball measured with a bare hand or with the glove on? I bowl with a standard fingertip grip and I notice that with my particular glove on, my fingers don't stick as far down into their holes as with the glove off and it makes me slightly squeeze the ball more with my fingers to hold onto it. This is obviously due to the physical thickness of the glove material sitting between the ball and the hand and raising the palm up higher off the ball's surface. It almost feels as though the span was drilled slightly wider that it really should be. It's nothing uncomfortable, but it is slightly noticeable when I sometimes remove my glove for converting corner spares.I've seen bowlers get fitted for a ball before, and it seems like the measurements are always done with a bare hand. I was never asked by a ball driller if I wore a glove while I bowl, so I assumed it didn't make a difference with the measurements. With all the important emphasis on a correct ball fitting first and foremost, is it possible that this small difference in span distance could make a difference in release? Any opinions?
