Men's league "roll-off" tonight. There are 4 legs to the league with first place for each leg playing in the "roll-off". My team was the "wild card". This is league with one team that basically dominated the entire league and has 2 guys with 230 averages, 2 guys with 220 averages and 1 guy with a 210 average.
So, we start off playing the worst record of the 4 winners. We beat them by about 7 pins. Then we play the 3rd worst of the winners and beat them by about 11 pins. Then we play the second best team and beat them by like 80 pins. Then we play the mighty first team.
These guys are good. Really good. Anyway, their anchor starts with front 8. This guy just bowled a 300 last week and averages a 700 everyweek with his 235ish average. We go into the 10th frame up by about 5 pins. 4 of the 5 of us strike out and we win by 7 pins.
I bowled pretty good ---> 223, 225, 238, 225. I was missing 10 pins though. Pissed me off. I need to work on getting way more accurate on my spares.
We won the league!:eek: Toxic was ball of choice all night long. BTW: my average in this league was 213. Thing that made our win a little more amazing is that the league is a handicap 90% of 210. We only had 38 pins against these guys who average ~1110 to my team's ~1030.
