When I got my Toxic it was hooking more than I wanted. I had proshop dull it to 2000 abralon. I think that allows it to start burning up a little energy in the heads but it still has finishing power at the end. Proshop also added a hole that the driller said might settle the ball down a little.

After/Before bowling I use Track Clean and Dull. Somehow, I think that is important part of getting ball to be reliable.

If my 2000 abralon theory is wrong .... please, someone correct me! I just know that 2000 seems to be a number I really like. I have BW and Toxic at 2000. No Mercy at 1000. Hawgzilla at 500.

Well...I work in a proshop :) let me tell you...if you drill a balance hole over your Positive Axis Point...it will tame it down but still have the hitting power the toxic is supposed to have. just some advice on that one :)

o yeah the ball does not need to be drilled with more side weight to have a weight hole...you can do it to a ball drilled medium that didnt require a weight hole...just put it on your positive axis point and booyah more length and a more controllable hook :P

I agree with the other posters, you need to start playing around with the cover.

Dulling will tame the backend reaction.

Yep, I took my down to 2000 sanded and it hooks much earlier with out the huge backend, but it still hooks a ton. I want a more length so my next moves will be 2000 with a matte polish and then 2000 with factory finish if needed.

I realy dont see that problem in the house I bowl in. I have thrown several Toxic setups and I have the reverse prolem I can not get the ball to hook so I wind up getting rid of it I have even been told that I put more rotation on the ball than anyone in the house and the ball just goes straight even if it is in a 500-3000 grit finish

Have it polished to take some of the tackiness off it. It can always be added again if it doesn't work out. A lot easier than having another hole put in it.

If you can't get Toxic move, there is another issue besides the ball.
