I know when you slide, your foot should be pointed straight. When I slide, my foot is never pointed straight. I can do it correctly without the ball in my hand. But, put the rock in my hand, and I can't do it? What could be causing this?

Thanks.

personally I dont find it to be that big a deal and dont think you should br worried about it. I bowl with a guy and his foot goes sideways at the line anhe averages 210+ every year

I average about the same. I've just been in a major slump since January, and I'm trying to figure out what it could be. Thanks

If you slide like that, just watch out for the heel. Too much pressure and it will stop on a dime.

whoever said your foot needed to be straight? The idea is to hit your target and release the ball repeatedly. If you do that and your foot is a little off,

for the input. I was just trying to figure out why I'm bowling so bad. Screw it, the season's over in 3 weeks. Back to basics in the Summer

Just relax and turn off your damn brain. Let muscle memory take over.

Oh yeah, remember its not like you are trying to get a nine count, split or whatever.

Yeah it's the end of the season so when ur not bowling, talk to your teammates about anything but bowling.

Exactly right, had a time there when I had trouble remembering which foot I started with.... Tooo much thinking and not enough of staying calm and trusting your natural game!!

Yeah, just let your brain go on autopilot.

Get a coach.

I do the same and was told it was because I was forcing the ball. Once I relaxed I wouldn't turn sideways.
