I have been still keeping my 200 average but over the past couple weeks i have noticed that i am not consistent at all with my release. Yesterday in my league i had a 225, 184, and a 156. The first game i was very consistent with my shot and hitting my arrow every time just about. Then the 2nd game i was hitting it but i saw that i was lofting the ball a bit too much or just putting too many revs on the ball and it would go brooklyn or hit dead on. Then the last game i could not hit the same mark twice and i was getting really pissed off. so today i went to my lanes and bowled 6 games of practice. 4 of them were with my BW and they were all 195+, but i still wasn't consistent! For 2 games i used my absolute inferno and i was hitting my mark everytime and getting it out and it was working very nicely.

The only thing i can think of is that my grips in my Absolute Inferno are older and my fingers go deeper in them and they r looser. My BW grips are still newer even tho they were from when i bought the ball back in November, and my fingers fit more snug in them. I'm bowling sat in my league and if i'm still not throwing my BW to my liking, i'm going to ask the proshop and have him watch me.

Anyone have any pointers?

Defenitely get with your local pro, and have him watch. It much easier having a second pair of eyes watching. Good luck with it.

you might just be in a funk, it happens from time to time,,,,I've struggled over the last 3 weeks myself... WHEN I hit my spot it's flush in the pocket, when I don't it's anyone's guess where the ball will end up (and I'm a down & in tweener).....I haven't hit my mark much lately as I haven't even sniffed a 600 for 3 weeks!
I'll probably practice some time over the weekend & set up the video camera to "see what I see".

I had the same type of problem a few weeks ago. Could not hit my spot.
I had the Pro Shop watch me and found out that I was too fast with my feet. Mainly my second step.
It was making me off-balance and rushing.
Hence, I was speeding up the release and pulling the ball off my mark.
After the few games of concentrating and practice, everything is back to normal. (Or what I call normal)
