Nationals for what. What are the nationals for

To compete with USBC bowlers from everywhere.:D

It moves from city to city. Every 3 years,(this one), it's in Reno. The BIGGEST LITTLE CITY IN THE WORLD.

This will be my 5th. I am humbled every year. I've cashed twice though not for much. Did get my four nights at my hotel comped last time in Reno.

My REAL DEAL likes oil.

My average on league rite now is 181.

Bowled team as the first set:
game 1: 133 (bit nervous and amazed at oily lanes)
game 2: 170 (found a mark, but still not liking the oil)
game 3: 144 (eew.. oil)
series : 447

As you can see, I'm not used to much oil.

Doubles was the next morning, 7:30am :
game 1: 179 (moved to about the 5 board, nice and dry)
game 2: 147 (blister formed & opened on thumb and fell back into oil)
game 3: 171 (blister super glued shut and only used partial thumb)
series: 497

The thumb part I'm working on fixing, planing on getting with my pro-shop guy this Sunday before league to fix up my thumb hole & possibly re-drill with a different pitch to prevent the blisters.

Immediately after Doubles, we started singles on different lanes, already warmed up.
game 1: 198 (still with out my entire thumb in the ball)
game 2: 161 (egads my arm was tired)
game 3: 149 (my ball felt very heavy, I'm a wus!!)
series: 508

Each game my series improved a little bit as I got used to where the oil was and how it made my ball work / not work. For it being my first tournament on oily lanes like that, I like to think that I learned a lot! :)

like I said, my goal is to bowl better @ nationals next year! :D And next year, I'll have my No Mercy with me!
