 I am wanting a Hammer. I currently use a blue hammer from 1993. I use the outside angles of the lane (usually 5,6,7 board). My alley uses med/heavy oil, but i use the part of the lanes where the oil is thin. So does anyone know if a Road Hawg or a Hawg Wild would work in the outside angles?

I think you can alter the drilling layout and ball surface on either of these two balls to fit your lane conditions.

I use a Hawg drilled with the pin under the ring finger.....on medium to dry lanes I run it down the 5th board with as much speed as I can, watch it snap left, and tear the hell out of things. On the "Exxon Valdez" oiling pattern my house is currently using, I've slowed the speed down some and go over the 5th board on a fairly straight line to the pocket.

Thanks for the replys! (even if it was 5 months later:rolleyes:) But the answer to my question (as I have figured out) is it is great almost everywhere. When I recently bowled my High game I was throwing 10 to 3 board ( I know a big hook for me) but it is not a "down and in ball" it's more of a swinging ball.
