View Full Version : sling blade vs power diesel
I have a sling blade drilled label leverage and works great on light to med oil.
Will a power diesel drilled the same work on heavy oil?
What different reaction will i have between the balls?

The POWER DIESEL is a great choice to complement your SLING BLADE. The Leverage drilling should do just fine for you in heavy oil. The core is made to skid (go longer) than the Sling and snap (move to the pocket) harder than the Sling. However its coverstock is made to bite (grab wet heads) the lane better, using the oil to store the energy for the move to pocket. And the Sling's coverstock is made to skid through dry heads and save its energy for the move to pocket on the backend. I think the Power Diesel will give you what you seek.
This ball has an sweet coverstock and core match up. On the sport shots this ball has all the control that you need, and the bite to handle those tougher medium/heavy oil patterns. If you want it for pure heavy you may need to have an aggressive balance hole or modify the surface. It comes out of the box at 1000 grit SANDED, so it will be strong. May want to take it down to between 600-800 grit, but get some games on it out of box first, then talk it over with your proshop guy if its not performing the way you wished.

The power diesel is working fine on the med to hvy oil.
Thanks for the info.
