The hawg wild is better in a medium condition. the hawg to me is a better choice for heavy oil.

I have the Road Hawg and Hawg Wild, I find that as lanes break down, I can use the Hawg Wild just a bit longer. I find it more useful, I think you would be happy with any Hawg ball though.

i would choose the hawg, but i cant bowl with 1000 grit balls, i couldnt bowl with my Razor Blade with the box finish, so i changed it and slap some polished on it and now is working like it ment to b polished, so yeh, well wat about the road hawg, would that do any better?

I have all of the balls in the Hawg line and the 1 thing everyone needs to remember is that, both the hawg wild and road hawg come 4000 grit abralon.
So I don't think either ball is a bad choice for heavy oil.You may have to take the surface to 1000 or 1500 but both balls are very strong.I would say though that the road hawg is a bit more angular than the hawg wild.

The Hawg I think is the best for Heavy oil, but all of the hawg series are good for med-heavy lane conditions.
